Workshop and educational concept:

“It’s fun as long as there are no consequences”
Any film with three protagnosists always seems to be heading for a disaster of some kind. The number three just doesn’t balance out. And so the three young, fashionable and achingly cool characters of “Cherrybomb” take it in turns to struggle and play against each other to win the remainder of their trio over. It’s not just about the rock n’ roll and school being out for the summer; school is potentially out for good. So what’s there to do?

The workshop accompanying the film introduces a range of themes to discuss: responsibility, consequences, family relationships, friendships and loyalty and the fact that teenagers are so much more mature these days and seem much more comfortable with that. (Fleur Diggines)
